The company Acer has been into smartphone business for quite a time now, but has been unsuccessful in setting up its name in this field. The company has tried to make another comeback with its new mobile phone, Acer Liquid S1 at the Computex 2013 in Taipei. The unique phone was announced by company about two days back, and seems to have promising specs.
The power packed 5.7 inch device runs on Quad core 1.5 GHz CPU, and 1 GB RAM. This simply means that you’re not going to feel any kind of lag in performance terms whatsoever the case is. The 8 GB inbuilt memory will give you some space for installing your apps, and then you can always extend it to 32 GB by using SD card. You would be able to capture full HD videos with the 8 MP camcorder shooter.

Experts have referred the phone as “Phablet”, as it is larger than the traditional mobile phone, but smaller than a tablet. Additional features of the mobile include Acer Cloud docs, Float Apps, Calculator, Notes, DTS Technology, Acer’s 2-way live screen, app, Float Caller Information, Studio Sound with DTS technology, HD Streaming and playback. The new DTS technology simply adds up to your listening experience taking it to a whole new world of music.
The phone will also come in an optional dual SIM model. It will be available in colors Black, and White, unlike the newly launched Sony Xperia M. It has been priced at 349 Euros ($453). The Acer Liquid is expected to hit the markets in Q3 2013 in Belgium, France, Ukraine, Russia, Germany and UK. There has been no announcement on date of official launch of this gadget in US and Asia. Only dates for launch in Europe have been confirmed.
The new mobile from Acer is really a beast, with the all new float interface for users. Despite of the powerful specs, the company has still packed the mobile with a TFT screen, which is really surprising in such a power pack device. The old traditional screen stands nowhere in comparison to the latest AMOLED, and OLED screens which other companies are providing with their devices. Most of them have also included Super AMOLED HD in their gadgets. Another point is that the phone has a 5.7 inch screen, but the resolution is not upto the mark. This means that you’ll have to deal with a slight hazy screen, and text will not be as crispy as you expect from such a device.
